Hi everyone. In this post, we will see the process of generating Form 16 in Saral PayPack.
Form 16 the TDS certificate given by the employer to the employee, annually. This will contain details of TDS deducted by the employer as well the salary and other details of the employee considered for tax computation.

Let us see the process of Form 16 online generation in Saral PayPack.
Before starting, make sure you have downloaded Part A & Part B of Form 16 from TRACES login which will be in a zip file format.
After downloading the required file, go to Form16 with TRACES under TDS Reports of Report menu.
The Form 16 window will be displayed. Select the FY for which the certificates have to be generated.
Now, go to TRACES Part A and trace the Part A zip file downloaded from TRACES.
Note:
If you are using the utility for the first time, click on Download TRACES Utility which will download the TRACES utility and install in your software path.
Now, click on Generate and the TRACES utility will be displayed. The zip file along with the password (TAN) required for unzipping the file will be auto taken. Also, the folder where the generated PART A PDF file will be saved is auto-created.
If Part A of Form 16 has to be digitally signed, then read or select the digital signature at the given space. If not, directly click on Proceed to generate the PDF files.
The files generated can be seen in the selected output folder.
Similar to Part A PDF File generation, Part B of Form 16 is also required to be generated. This is done as explained above at TRACES Part B by tracing the Form 16 Part B downloaded zip file.
Note:
The TRACES utility for PART A & PART B is different. Hence, for the first-time user the utility has to be downloaded once, individually.
The process of Part B PDF File generation is as similar to Part A generation in TRACES utility. The files generated can be seen in a different folder as selected during the generation process.
Finally, this completes the process of Part A & Part B Form 16 generation in Saral PayPack.
